![]() FM&E National Summer Workshop Golden, Colorado The FM&E National Summer Workshop will be offered at the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado, July 15-20, 2007. Instruction at the workshop is hands-on, in sections up to 22 participants. Check-in for the workshop is on Sunday afternoon, July 15 and the workshop will run until the end of the day on Friday, July 20. Travel arrangements should be made with this schedule in mind. Instruction will take place primarily in the laboratory and focus on the experiments and pre- and post-lab discussions. Participants are encouraged to prepare questions that address content (text and problems) and methodology. The hands-on activities also include the use of the Teacher’s Guide and Resource Book, the Assessment Package, and Diagnostic Analysis software. Instructors will be available on some evenings for individual assistance. Uri Haber-Schaim and Robert Stair, two of the co-authors of FM&E, will lead the workshop. The Colorado School of Mines is located in picturesque Golden, just 20 minutes west of Denver, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Participants stay on campus in Weaver Towers, which offers air-conditioned, suite-style dormitory accommodations. Workshop classes are held in the school’s modern, air-conditioned Chemistry Building. The setting is informal and campus recreational facilities are available for use by all participants. WORKSHOP INFORMATION
